This was one of our more sophisticated MaD Experiences and one that we wholeheartedly recommend a visit and wine tasting at Adgestone Vineyard.

Just outside the town of Brading it is a 15 minute walk from the Bus Stop or easily located by car, a working vineyard on the south facing slopes of Brading.

With a few friends who had already recommended this in the first place we set of by taxi, ( we wanted to enjoy the wine tasting part and sample the produce! ) it really is a lovely setting and looks like it has been updated recently. We settled on the verandah of the Cafe for a quick drink before going on the Wine Tour, including the tasting which at £8 per head (July 2108) has to be one of the bargains of the century! With a headphone set and pack you are guided around the vineyard, cellars and bottling rooms, whilst also getting the interesting history of English Wines and wine making.

Then to the wine tasting part, in our case led by Russ Broughton, owner of Adgestone. We were instructed how to get the best out of our wine tasting and we were able to sample all of their produce, white, blush (not Rose) and red as well as some interesting fruit varieties, finished with a shot of Chocolate Liquer with a kick of Chilli. Really enjoyed by everyone, thanks Russ.

We then sat down to a Lunch platter which was fab, more wine (had to be done) whilst we had live music entertainment as well as entertainment from two very boisterous Pygmy Goats and some very pretty but feisty chickens !

All in all a great day out, great value for money and informative too, we will be back and we do recommend.
